To comply with various states’ securities regulations, websites must include a mechanism to ensure that only potential customers from states in which the Registered Representative is securities licensed can access the site. Therefore, each securities related website must include a “bridge page” which requires users to confirm that they are a resident of a state in which the Representative is licensed before they can access the securities pages. Unless a Representative is securities licensed in all 50 states, each website must include the specific text below. A user who does not click the “OK” button must not be able to reach the securities related pages. For information concerning the licensure status or disciplinary history of a broker/dealer, investment adviser, BD agent or IA rep, a consumer should contact his or her state securities law administrator.
